| - I understand that Guitar Center sometimes just becomes a baby sitter more or less for teens that wanna cause trouble and it tends to jade the staff, that said i normally give guitar centers about a 3.5 but this particular one is the pits, it is the closest to me but i would still rather drive twice as far to the Scottsdale one, or just go to to my favorite local music store where i usually get better deals anyway.
last year i went to get a new guitar and a few accessories for the school i was attending, i know my basic chords, scales and theory but still feel that i don't play guitar very well so i play at low volumes and generally just am trying the guitar for playability and quality etc. there is one sales guy you need to call before you go and make sure he is not there, WALLY, he is crabby and rude even to the people who he assumes can afford stuff. he yelled at me from literally across the store to put the guitar i was playing up because i was playing it "to hard", i am not the only one either i have had at least 3 people tell me they received the same treatment, even my 52 year old friend.
all that being said, i recently went back to get a guitar pickup they were having a sale on that was almost to good to be true, i got there and they had 1 left in stock but it was 10$ more than listed on the site, the guy didn't want to price match and give me the 10% difference like advertised saying that his computer was down and he had no way to check to make sure i wasn't lying...... very crude thing to say don't you agree. finally i pulled it up on my phones internet and after some griping he finally price matched it but refused to give me the additional 10% off.
i don't know why this particular guitar center is so angry at their customers especially when i am in the store dressed decent and presentable and not a kid with spikes and ripped jeans.
