First Time Here. Food was pretty good but slow service
My wife had a appointment at Horizon Eye and I ended up going with here in case they had to dilate her eyes. Fortunately they did not have to but while we were here, we decided to grab lunch at Eddie's.
Nice little neighborhood diner/restaurant/pub that is very comfortable. Industrial decor inside but several nice TV's all tuned to the World Cup when we were there.
Service is not outstanding so needless to say, we got off to a slow start.
Menu is an interesting collection of Breakfast and heavy on Comfort Foods.
I had joking made a comment about tuna salad the day before and that thought had been running through her mind ever since. Needless to say, she order the Tuna Salad Plate and a Side of Onion Rings.
She always cringes when I mention hot dogs but I went ahead and ordered two dogs all they way, hold the slaw. Slaw on Dogs is a NC thing and even though I was born here, I'll pass. In other words, two chili dogs with a side of Fries.
She enjoyed her Tuna Salad and is happy for a while. Dogs were a bit greasy because of the grease in the Chile and a bit flat on taste.
Fries were excellent.
Never did get a refill on our teas and at the end, we had to track down the server just to get our check.
Not bad for a first visit and will try again and try some other menu items and hopefully the service will be better.
