I returned an item to the Gap Sat Sherway this past weekend and I was told that they didn't have any gift cards in stock. They offered me a gift merchandise credit, but I was told that I couldn't use it with online items. Well considering I have a 6 month old and a toddler and it takes me over an hour to get everyone ready to even take a step out the door, online is where I tend to do most of my shopping. I asked for my refund in cash and was told that they do not refund in cash. It turns out that they are good at taking money, just not at refunding it when the customer isn't happy with the product. Overall a very disappointing experience - 1. One for lack of preparedness - why wouldn't you have gift cards in stock for returns after the Christmas holidays when you are likely to have plenty of returns. 2. For the look the one sales associate gave me from two tills over when I asked for a refund in cash - I can see you rolling your eyes at me. As a once frequent customer to the brand, I cannot wait to spend the $13.62 gift merchandise credit and be done with The Gap. It will be the last dime you will be getting from me. I have never had any issues returning product to Amazon, but I guess that is why they are taking your business.
