rev:text	I have been dying to try Cajun Queen for a while. I originally heard about it from my sister who was going to meet a friend out there. I was SERIOUSLY planning to third wheel it and she didn't mind (b/c in her mind it wasn't a date) .. but when she asked him about me tagging along he responded with a "you mean she comes on our date" Welp... at that point she realized it was a date (duh) and his ego was a bit bruised ... medium story short I never made it out there. Cajun Queen is in an interesting location I haven't explored this part of Charlotte much.... only in passing. It's a tight space inside , we went at an off time so we had ample room but I wonder about dinner time how crowded it can be. Our waiter was super nice and explained the menu to us as well as made some recommendations on the spicy and not so spicy. I am a huge shrimp fan so I had the Diane with Shrimp. It was pretty tasty and spicy to me, and had me stuffed! It appears that they give you huge portions for your entrée which is nice. I also had a side of gumbo , which honestly tasted a bit like chili. This was my first gumbo experience so I'm not really sure what to think in terms of taste but I have heard from a friend who lives in NO that it's not supposed to taste like chili. I came on a Sunday afternoon so there was no live band , and it was super cold so we couldn't sit on the patio. Overall I thought it was a nice meal and nice place with reasonable prices for the amount of food you receive. The parking is a bit annoying but I guess you can always park on the street! Oh it seems that they run on reservations so I would recommend one!
