  • The worst feeling in the world as a customer is the feeling that a business does not need or want your patronage. . . I am so disappointed that I have to amend my glowing review based upon a recent trip to this salon. I have been getting my pedicures here and I have had nothing but great customer service and had only enjoyable experiences. Recently, my nail technician at another salon that had been doing my finger nail gel fills for the past two years left my old nail salon. Because I have had nothing but great experiences at 24 Nail in regards to my pedicures- I decided to give it a try for my gel fills. The length of my nails are pretty long and so I requested that the technician do the gel pretty thick so that the tips do not chip or break off. Half-way through the fill, the technician told me that my gel is getting old and I may need a new full set next time. The rest of the service was uneventful. I received my fill and paid for the service and left. I did notice that the nails were quite a bit thinner than I requested and much more sharp than usual. In fact, my nails were so sharp that I ripped a hole in my brand new leggings that night while pulling them on! The next morning my first nail tip broke off. It easily broke off when I went to wash my hands and pulled up on the water faucet (I was not being rough on the nails by any means- just going about my day). Later that afternoon, I called and spoke to the technician and requested that 24 Nail fix my broken nail and if they would do my gel over again and thicker like I requested. I was expecting great customer service that I always had received at 24 Nail, but was simply told "we are not responsible for broken nails" and "I told you yesterday that you need a new set." First of all, the technician told me half-way through my service that I needed a new set. Too late. Second of all, when I responded that I did not want to pay for a new set because I had just paid over $40 for a fill the day before, he simply apologized and said they would fix the one nail, but would not re-do my fill. He could have offered me a discount on a new set, or stated that the $40 I paid yesterday could go toward a new set, but he did not offer anything for my troubles. Since the interaction, three of my nails have chipped so far within 36 hours of receiving a fill from 24 Nail. This review would not have been written if instead of dismissing me on the phone, the technician simply re-did my fill a little thicker. I am a very loyal customer when I find a good technician. It is a shame that they lost my business because as you can see by my prior review, I loved that this salon is owned by a young couple. I went back to my old salon (begrudgingly because I did not like any other technicians besides my old tech and the owner treats her employees terribly) and alas they were able to do a thick fill as requested. They did not need to do a new full set. And my nails look great.
