I was very disappointed with my experience at Benjamin Moore-McGovern and Sons. I came to this store as it was near my home and I was hoping to get true paint expertise for an outdoor painting project.
Getting assistance from one of the two individuals working at the store was like pulling teeth. I was not greeted, and spent about 10 minutes staring at different paint options until I realized I was going to have to track down help. Once I requested assistance, responses were curt and vague, despite the fact that I clearly had no idea what I needed. The experience can be summarized as myself asking a specific question, receiving a vague response, myself trying to put the pieces together, to only have to ask another question. This went on for far too long. During this time one of the employees was having a personal conversation on her cell phone, rubbing salt in the wound.
FINALLY I was able to get what I (think) I needed for my project. Upon leaving the store I realized that I should have left within 10 minutes, and I regret purchasing paint products from the store.
I am not an individual who expects red carpet treatment. I simply hoped for a nice, helpful employee to guide my purchase. Instead, I was brushed aside and left very unhappy.
