  • I signed up for Yelp SPECIFICALLY to write a review for this shop - it's that good. This place has reignited my passion for supporting your LBS. My bike has not seen major maintenance for over 5 years, and I knew it needed a tuneup after a recent race. I took it to Phil at Peloton and ran down the laundry list of gripes I had with my bike. He told me he charged $100 for a tuneup, plus whatever else the bike might need after a close inspection. I was already feeling good about the upfront cost estimate, and he promised to call me to run down the bike's issues once he had broken it down. Phil called me a day later and told me what he thought the bike needed. He gave me a quote after I ok'd the estimate. It was a bit expensive, but again, my bike needed major maintenance. I picked up the bike a few days later and i was absolutely blown away - my 7 yr old frame looked BRAND NEW. For the tuneup, he broke down, cleaned and repaired every component on the bike (even the jockey wheels)! New cables, brake pads, and he even fixed a wheel alignment issue that 3 other shops had missed - turns out I need a new skewer and internal nut for the hub, as both had been destroyed. My wheel sits straight and true - finally - and there's no way he would have found the issue unless he broke the wheel down for repair! That alone should tell you the kind of quality you're getting from this shop. Finally, Phil told me to bring the bike back after I had broken it in and stretched the new cables a bit. I have never had a shop offer this service after a tuneup in 12 years of riding - usually it's only offered after you purchase a new bike. This alone should be enough convincing to patronize this business - my bike is in such great shape that it will need to be treated as if it's new! You truly get what you pay for from Peloton Sports - and I would argue you get even more, as they caught and fixed several issues that got my bike back into like-new shape. I am still amazed at the quality of service and how my bike rides. I cannot recommend this shop enough.
