  • I cannot recommend this company to anyone. This is a factual review of what I encountered. They came out to do two things, Give me an estimate of replacing a bathroom fan and do a "Rejuvenation" service on my AC unit. First the initial meeting, the guy comes up to the door , gives me a flashlight and upon inspection later I determined its a cheap piece of garbage that flickers off and on, the small flashlights for $2 at Harbor Freight are better than this junk they give you upon meeting you. He then proceeds to ask some question that have nothing do do with the work that was needed and try to sell some membership plan, I should have ran him off right there. I fell for the bathroom fan commercial on the radio, so lets talk about the fan first. We needed a bathroom fan replaced, I could do this myself but I figured I would let pros do it as they should have the right tools and parts. They wanted to replace it with a Panasonic fan with new duct work for $1000, I said that was way too much and they gave me some spiel on how this is the greatest bathroom fan ever made in the history of mankind. Then they started crapping on Home Depot and Lowes trying to make you feel like a moron if you shop there. I like shopping at Home Depot and most of the parts in my house probably come from stores like this. The fan that went out most likely came from a store like Home Depot and it ran 22 years before it failed. I asked how much to just replace what was needed to be replaced , ( the fan motor) and they quoted me $500 , so $40 for the part and $460 for labor, again way too much, I will just do this myself. After all their crapping on Home Depot and Lowes, I found out both stores sell the Panasonic fans they were talking about, what a bunch of hypocrites. So this brings us to the "Rejuvenation" service, again after looking at the AC unit they suggested things that needed to be replaced and that is fine, I know my AC system is getting old and needs to be replaced in the not too distant future. But when they started quoting prices on parts, the $129 service jumped up to $750+ , lets look at one very easy part to change they quoted at $300-400, the capacitor for a York AC unit, they sell for $10-15 dollars at Home Depot, again they wanted way too much for that part. Thats $10-15 for the part and the rest of that price is labor. These parts are way overpriced I cant imagine what an AC replacement would be, probably astronomical. In the end they just did the check on the AC and Heater unit, and a soapy wash on the AC unit that cleaned the fins, still overpriced at $237 in my opinion, but I learned a valuable lesson in not to trust this company or other HVAC companies here in Vegas. During the inspection the guy, was moaning and groaning making all sorts of weird noises in an attempt at being melodramatic to say how bad my system was and convince me it needed to be replaced. I really don't think the guy was an actual technician as he played the part more of a scam artist. I have not run into this kind of bait and switch operation with other skilled trades I have had do work for me, but I have seen this in HVAC companies here, I would always question the prices these people give you, have your smart phone or tablet ready to instantly look up the prices on any quotes for parts. One other strange thing is the guy kept telling me the estimator for the AC replacement wanted to meet with me and my wife to talk about the replacement, I told them she does not have the time or interest in talking to them and the meeting would have to be with me, the guy kept pushing for both of us to meet with them , until I told him about the third or fourth time, that the house is in my name only, I paid for it and I would be the one paying for the replacement of the AC unit. Only then did he finally get it. The only reason I could think they wanted to meet with both of us is so the sleazy salesman could try to use some fear tactic to guilt me into buying some super expensive HVAC system. Overall this service call was a waste of my valuable time, I had to babysit the guy and no real work was done. The main reason I called them out for a fan motor replacement was never done. Goettl could have just changed my bathroom fan for me at a reasonable price and got a five star review, but that didn't happen.
