I am a patient. I was there a year ago and was very happy. However, my experience from 2 and a 1/2 weeks ago has left me very disappointed. I made it clear from the time I checked in that I needed a written prescription and that I go thru a Canadian pharmacy. My medication does not come in a generic form and I cannot pay full price . This was fine a year ago. My Canadian pharmacy called the Doctor and everything went thru very smooth. So , after telling the front desk, the doctor, and the doctor's assistant of my plans I left with my written prescription thinking all was good.
So after a week of leaving 6 messages AND 6 fax's , my Canadian pharmacy called me to let me know they cannot fill my prescription because no one would call them back to confirm.
I call to find out that they evidently no longer work with Canadian pharmacies...
I by no means, expect the rules to be bent for me , but surely ONE of the THREE people I talked to on my appointment day could have informed me of the change in policy. Someone also could have called me when the Canadian pharmacy kept leaving messages....But no call till I frantically left my own message regarding my prescription that I have been out of for weeks....
I understand that policy changes , but someone could have told me.This experience has left me feeling like a very unimportant number in their system.
So be advised that if you like to fill your prescription thru a non-approved pharmacy, they will make this very difficult for you.
