EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: I hit this place once and did not return. My cut wasn't BAD, but it wasn't all that great either.
The name of the venue suggests this is an "old-timey" barbershop filled with career barbers with a lifetime of scissor-cuts & straight-razor shaves under their leather strops.
But that's really not the case. There's a mess of nostalgia hanging on the walls ... and the barber chairs look to be re-leathered vintage ... but that's pretty much where the old-school ends. Then you have a crew of younger barbers who probably end up doing a lot of fades with electric clippers.
Be forewarned ... the wait-time here is utterly outrageous, maybe two hours after writing my name on a chalkboard queue. And a lot of other Yelpers say the same.
Again, not to say the cut was outright bad, it was not.
On the other hand, this isn't really the classic barbershop or barbering that your Grandpa might ramble about when he's reliving "the good ol' days" either. Which is what I was looking for when I hauled all the way down to Water Street Henderson.
To find a career barber, with serious classic barbering skills, you'll have to look elsewhere.
One place to check out for such might be the barbershop inside the Skyline Casino out on Boulder Highway. The Skyline. Now THERE'S some REAL vintage Vegas for ya.
