I've been a Cox customer for more than 30 years. Their service has always been excellent. But recently, I spent two days going round and round with these people. Given all the one-star reviews for Cox, it's pointless for me to go into detail. I'll just say that most of the people with whom I dealt seemed to be untrained. Their bad advice ended up costing me $30 and a great deal of heartburn.
I'd change, but the reviews for Dish and DirecTV are just as bad. (Some of their installers have great reviews. Don't confuse the two.) Cox's cable TV and Internet service continue to be good. But their customer service has deteriorated seriously. What a shame.
