One of the biggest beer selections in Pittsburgh, including beer styles for all tastes. The environment is casual and laid-back, the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and so are all the Houghs! They have tons of TVs and are usually more than happy to take requests for games that might not be on by default. It's a great place to watch Steelers/Pirates/Penguins games, though it's very crowded on Steeler days, and generally an awesome place for groups.
There are two bars, one on the main level (when you first enter) which is a kind of U shaped and usually a bit more crowded, and one on a lower level. I usually go to the one on the lower level because it's a little less crowded and more intimate. My experience with the bartenders there have been great -- they know a ton about the beers and are happy to talk to you about them.
The food is your average pub fare.
If you're interested in brewing your own beer and want a convenient way to start, be sure to check out the Copper Kettle Brewing Co (part of Hough's and located next door to the bar)!
