Brutal experience here. I wanted to confirm that a wireless keyboard was new in box and the friendly sales clerk confirmed it. I was skeptical as the box was a little damaged and sealed with tape. Again, I asked the person at the register: "is this new?" before I handed over my credit card. She assured me it was a brand new part. Maybe you can see where this is going.
When I got the keyboard was missing parts and was certainly not new. As Karl R. mentioned, obtaining a refund is like performing alchemy in places like this, but to their credit the manager granted me one since I was mislead. (And also because I started a near holy crusade at the front of the shop.) I won't be returning here.
Obligatory Title Pun: Most unFORTUNE-ate.
Menu Readability: But, but, this is a computer store... I don't...
Need to mention: Seemed like a decent store otherwise. I don't mind open box items, I just don't like being lied to. Which I was. Twice.
What this place teaches me about myself: I'm not a gambling man, so why did I walk into Fortune Computers?
