  • I would not recommend going to Hendrick Lexus unless you want to overpay. I tried to make an appointment but never received a call back. On Tuesday, March 13th I stopped in to see buy out my current lease. Lexus is owned by Toyota and Toyota Financial required me to go to a Lexus dealership to file my paperwork. I was left in the waiting room for over an hour and passed around from person to person while they figured out what to do with me. The facility was nice and offered me refreshments, but I wish they would have given me a business card or the office of the last person I spoke to because the introductions happened so fast I couldn't remember his name. I was left in the waiting room for an hour with no way of leaving and no way of contacting the person who had my keys and driver's license. Toyota had given me my buyout price and was surprised to see instead the quote they gave me was over $1,000 higher. Every dealership charges a document preparation fee because if they are filing paperwork on my behalf they deserve to get paid for the time it takes to do that. Hendrick Lexus' dealer doc fee is higher than other dealers. However, Hendrick Lexus also charges an additional $750 "Toyota Buyout" fee, which is not sanctioned by Toyota but a personal choice of the dealership. The employees assured me that every person who comes to the dealership pays both the dealer doc fee and the buyout fee and there was nothing they could do about it. No one has to pay this fee. This is a fee imposed by Hendrick Lexus and I called two other Lexus dealerships to confirm this. It is not right that they charge two fees for one job like that. I would suggest you go to Lexus of Greenville instead. I did so and saved $1146.61. I can't believe Toyota allows Hendrick Lexus to impose an additional $1100 worth of fees towards their customers. If I'm going to pay more I would expect white glove treatment, but being left alone in a waiting room for an hour is certainly not worth $1100. I'm not sure if it was because I was a female by myself but Hendrick Lexus should not try to take advantage of their customers by imposing such fees.
