We went to Nan & Byron's thinking it was a trendy South End restaurant that was bound to have good food since its owners were 5Church. We were fooled from the minute we walked in the door to see a mostly empty space. Not a good thing in the restaurant business. However, there can be off nights. Our disappointment was compounded by a really crappy wine by the glass list and popcorn with Old Bay Seasoning that really wasn't as enticing as it may sound. My Cobb salad was nothing out of the ordinary and my husband can't remember what he ordered as it was so unremarkable. The staff were great. The restaurant is well done, but the food meh!
