| - Finally more craft beer available in Las Vegas.
So far, I'd rank Hop Nuts above the others, including Big Dogs, Tenaya Creek, Chicago Brewing, and Main Street Station's breweries. Better than the other newbie, Banger, too. I'm getting more hopeful for craft beer here.
Why? They actually have some hop flavor and a wider variety of styles and their beers finish dry. When I visited they had a very good German Hefeweizen, a pale ale that tasted all centennial, and a very dank DIPA that stood out. Their imperial stout was hot and lacked body for a big beer, and their red was too chocolately (color correction?) for me.
Bar/tasting room only. Large tasters are a great deal, but might limit how many different beers you can try. Nice bartenders. Nice interior design and bar, and they even have electrical outlets under the edge of the bar for customers to charge their phones/devices. On street parking, in a neighborhood that isn't so great.
I won't compare this place to breweries in communities with bigger brewing communities, though.
This place is worth visiting if you like more than the usual BMC/Heineken/Corona found most everywhere in Las Vegas.
