  • I bought a BuyWithMe voucher to see Cathy for a Brazilian blowout & cut at a great discount. This wasn't my first go-around with the Brazilian but I was disappointed with my last treatment and was looking for something better. Other friends of mine had great success with the treatment so I knew it could be done! I'll admit it was a little bit of a hassle trying to make an appointment but after 3 or 4 messages back and forth Cathy was able to get me in prior to my big birthday weekend in LA. My first impression of the salon was average. It was small, no one was there handing out champagne, and I don't think there was a receptionist. Hmmm... But as soon as Cathy came out to greet me (on time!) my reservations ended. She was professional, personable, and expressed concern about my comfort every step of the way. Her method was a little different than what I had before, but it turned out WAY better than my previous treatment. She also fixed this weird ledge in one of my grown out layers with a good cut so my hair fell beautifully. If you have researched the Brazilian blowout at all, you should know it does NOT make your hair straight. It does eliminate frizz and smooth the cuticle to make your hair look healthier with fewer fly-aways. It makes straightening with a blow dryer or flat iron way easier, too. It's been about 4 weeks since my treatment and I am still very pleased - it looks better than my last treatment did the first week. I would definitely recommend Cathy to my friends and will be back soon to see her for a touch up. She gives great discounts for return visits too! Also forgot to mention one of the other stylists is like a baker-extraordinaire... she came around with lovely lollipop cakes, YUM!
