Moko Ramen Bar has been on my mind for months now, since my love suggested that we have a quick bite before our engagement...take me to there please!!
The restaurant was busy with patrons slurping noodles or ordering some of their own to slurp. I thought they would be full of college students since it is across from CSN but there was quite a mixed group of generations when we stopped in for dinner.
We sat at the bar and was greeted by the owner and his big smile, ready to welcome you. He showed us few new additions on the menu, specials boards, and ordering sheets. You can go with a pre-planned bowl of ramen, or use the "make your own" section on the ordering sheets...like BYOR...put anything you want and chef's not going to say NO to you.
We ordered
-Fried Oysters
-Curry Ramen with fried egg & kurobuta sausage added on
-Dolsot BiBimbop
-Sake Flight
The oysters were very pleasant with crispy outside and juicy inside. They came with a dipping sauce, but the sauce was not necessary since the oysters are flavorful by themselves. Bibimbop was average, but we asked for some chili sauce to crank up the heat...their housemade chili-garlic sauce was very, very good. My favorite was of course the Curry Ramen...rich in curry and very well textured with thick noodle...I added fried egg and Kurobuta sausage, yummy.
The service was pleasant and prompt...I will come back with my little hungry Loves!
