| - Fish and chips...excellent textures, coating was thin and crunchy without being greasy. Filet was thick and dense. Only issue we had was seasoning...not a lot happening, flavor-wise (before the tartar and malt vinegar, that is). More (or 'some') S&P is needed during the dredge/dip.
Steak sandwich. Split with my daughter. Lean but tender, nicely done onions and mushrooms, beautiful baguette, finished with a tinge of horseradish. Well played, PJ. Thanks fellow Yelpers for the suggestion.
Eggs Florentine. Another daughter got this. It looked great. Asked her how it tasted. She replied 'Ummm...watery'. I said 'Impossible' and tasted it. Watery. There was sauce, but with only a hint of taste...of something. Rose-water-esque, but not rose.
Think of this as a 3.5. The food presentation, quality, and flavor still sum to a solid 4, and service was good from the lady who appeared to also be tending bar and probably doing 100 other things...but it took 45 minutes from order to table.
