  • Dolled Up Cupcakes is one of the best bakeries in the GTA...and it's nut-free. Since my first visit in April, I've been coming here every once in a while to treat myself and whenever I have a gathering with friends/family. The shop is nicely decorated and it feels very welcoming. Mike is always there to greet his customers with a smile. I love that you can always check on their Facebook page to see what flavours are available that day and you can call them ahead of time to reserve whatever you like. Their cupcakes are very moist, and their butter cream/frosting is always nice and fluffy. Best of all, it's not too sweet. (I have an incredibly sweet tooth but I still find a lot of other bakeries make their cupcakes way too sweet.) I've tried about half their flavours and so far, my favourite is green tea...no doubt. Cookies & cream, s'mores please, piña colada, and pumpkin spice are worth mentioning too. It may be a little pricey but it's truly a nice treat every now and then. (If it was less expensive, I may visit Dolled Up Cupcakes a little more than my wallet and body would like me to...) It's also nice to know that whatever is left at the end of the day is donated to local shelters (and I believe after-school programs too).
