| - All you can eat sushi for $25 is a fantastic deal because they offer the specialty rolls, which otherwise cost $15 on their own. I can eat 5 in one sitting if I skip lunch and exercise beforehand. It takes a while for food to come out, which permits time for rice to expand in the stomach, but if you're a good eater you won't be disappointed. No sea urchin, fatty tuna, or crab in the deal but I think that's fair.
As with the other location, the rice is too bland, too tightly pressed, and you get too much of it. This is probably a populist decision because while Madison palettes have expanded to enjoy more 'New American' cooking, many UW students are bumpkins and vinegary rice may still be too much. I like the room a lot better than Hilldale. More privacy, more space between tables, and no obnoxious mall shoppers with big bags.
Also, the fish is very fresh and nicely cut. Portions aren't huge but they're fair. If they ever get it together with the rice, this will be a restaurant to be reckoned with.
