  • WORST. CANADIAN. TIRE. EVER. And that says a lot, because most of them are pretty crappy. Mr. Rosie S.'s Dad and Uncle David call it "Crappy Tire", in fact. This one seems to be constantly in a state of semi-construction or store rearrangement... disorganized, cluttered, impossible to get anywhere... signs are even sometimes wrong. Good times. Items out of stock, damaged goods all over the place... it's bad. No staffing, and when you CAN find someone, it's ALWAYS their first week... or it seems that way. I think they skulk around trying to AVOID people asking them questions. The ONE moment we saw an employee with a smile, she was slamming her cash drawer down and hollering that she was going on "goddamn break". Nice. We were there on a Saturday, noonish, so you would think there would be more people scheduled. NOPE. Seemed like less. We've been here about half a dozen times, each time just a LITTLE more frustrating... but it's a five-minute walk, just around the block, so it's convenient. NO MORE. It's impossible to FIND an employee to help if you have a question (which we did on this particular Saturday)... then, when finally we DID find someone, he says: "I don't work in this section. I can't help you." We were desperate. We went to the automotive desk, because SOMEONE has to be THERE, right? And we were asking about engine coolant, so it made sense. They're experts, right? Nope. We waited in a HUGE line for 10 minutes just to be yelled at, "Aisle 34" (WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE WRONG) and pointed at to go away. So when we went back, because Aisle 34 was NOT right, the next guy serving us couldn't even figure anything out at all. He was looking up our make and model and year but still couldn't tell us what we needed. I don't think he had ever heard of coolant. AAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHH why are you working at the AUTOMOTIVE DESK??? No one offered to come and show us, no one knew anything, no one even tried to help us. Eventually we figured it out, but this should not have been a 30 or 40-minute trip, nor do I care about having knowledge about engine coolants. Too bad. I'm an expert now. THEN, when we finally lined up, there were ONLY two cashiers, and at least 25 or 30 people in each line. COME ON, COME ON, COME ON!!! WHERE IS YOUR STAFF? What is your PROBLEM? We were in such a state by the time we got to the checkout that this was the last straw. Donnie started swearing his head off, huffing, scoffing... he's not one for patience. Poor little girl in front of us.... Daddy was buying her a brand new Disney Princess bike with a matching Princess helmet and horn... lucky girl... now versed in the colourful street language of Mr. Rosie S.... sorry. Then, at the exit, there's a bigger-than-life-sized cardboard sign of a HUGE lady in a Canadian Tire outfit with HUGE letters asking "HOW DID WE DO TODAY??? TELL US! SEE YOUR RECEIPT FOR DETAILS!" I nearly rammed our shopping cart into her big stupid cardboard face. But I didn't. I went home and told them how they did. And now I'm writing this. We're going to go out of the way to avoid this place in the future. We will DRIVE to somewhere else (even if it's just a better "Crappy Tire" location) where someone acknowleges what it means to be in the retail industry. Dear Canadian Tire, CUSTOMER SERVICE? Love, Rosie & Donnie
