  • We've tried to like this place so much, but the service here is without a doubt the WORST experience we've ever had. We love the food, but we cannot justify coming to this location even though we live within walking distance. In the 8 times we've been here we've never been pleased. The first time we came there was a hair in our pasty. They were unapologetic and didn't even offer to comp the meal. They expected us to pay for it when they brought the bill to us. I had to ASK for the pasty with the hair in it to be removed. Another time we came with a group of about 10. We called ahead and were seated outside. It took us over 30 min to get a waitress out to take our drink orders, an hour to get our food, and then ANOTHER hour to get our bills. A lot of us had children and it made for a frustrating even. Again, they were completely unapologetic and made us feel like we were a hassle for the wait staff. After so many poor experiences, we resorted to doing take out since we can literally see the building from our backyard (we live that close). We've had them lose our order twice. We've gone to pick it up and they didn't even have record we called in. Still frustrating, but the food is so good we thought we'd give it a shot. My wife is now pregnant and had a craving for the Cajun pasty (so delicious), so I tried calling in to place an order so I could pick it up on the way home. I called and the phone was busy, no problem. I tried back 5 minutes later, still busy. Okay, I understand, it's busy sometimes. I called about 5 minutes later and the phone rang... and rang... and rang. I waited with the phone ringing for ANOTHER 5 minutes. No answer. I hung up and called back, and they let it ring again. Luckily, I work kind of close to the location in Tempe. I called them, they answered on the first ring, took my order, and were a delight when I went to pick it up. If you want to enjoy your food make it a point to go to the location in Tempe, or really any location OTHER than the one here in Mesa. We've even complained to the management at this location and they don't care whatsoever. Don't bother with this place. Go to Tempe and get a Cajun and a Banoffee for dessert.
