OMGosh, where to start. Went to the ER with severe abdominal pain and fever. Check in was surprisingly quick as was the wait - end of good stuff!! Put in a room called fast track which has the most unbearably uncomfortable chair pretending to be a bed thing and one chair, fast track cause you want out of there fast! Waited a really long time totally ignored by the many nurses, etc. who constantly walked by or were at the desk area right in front of my open curtain. Did find out all about one nurses new 12 X 12 above ground pool, another's AC that had gone out and yet another who was going to the beach that weekend tho... Finally a wondeful PA who had just come on duty came in, listened, ordered tests and some pain meds. then had me sent to the back where they actually did have beds and nurses that seemed to care... After an MRI and a diagnosis I was admitted. Up to the 5th floor I went. Big shout out to all the nurses who were kind, attentive and pretty good at shutting off the blasted IV alarm when it would start that unbearable beeping... Was in from Wed. night until late Saturday afternoon and never offered a clean gown nor had my bedding changed even tho more than a few needle sticks and IV attempts had left noticeable blood stains. So, some good but pretty bad for what we thought was a fairly nice looking hospital. I will not be going back!!
