  • I have been going to Gail Knits for several years, and have found Gail to be an enormous source of help and guidance. I have taken some of her classes and developed some friendships with other knitters. In response to some of the other comments, the people at the table are generally customers, so they really cannot help you when you walk in. They are often working with Gail on tricky patterns or just trying to improve their technique. Further, Gail is often the only employee in the store, and her personal style is to take one customer at a time and devote as much time and care as is needed to be sure they are clear on the directions and have the supplies they need. She will take as much time as needed and you will have her undivided attention. Her stock is very high quality, and that is reflected in the price. Her wools work up beautifully, and showcase the effort of the knitter. If price is a problem, go to Michaels or Walmart (and see how much help you get there). I have friends who annually make the 450 mile trek from Salt Lake to Gails because of the service, choice, quality, and camaraderie.
