rev:text	My wife and I went Saturday night (7/30/16) for our anniversary. We expected loud and raucous, and were not disappointed. The food, also, was uniformly good: My prime rib was delectable, and cooked perfectly. My wife's rainbow trout, likewise, was incredible (her words). The Dark Helmet Schwartz was tasty, as were the desserts: she had the brownie with ice cream, I had the seasonal fruit crisp. Our challenge was the service... At the check-in stand, the hostess was interacting with me as if she were an employee at the DMV. No "how can I help you?" No "welcome to the Old Fashioned." Certainly no smile. The exchange was: "How many in your party?" Followed by "phone number?" In fact, the DMV has better service than we were greeted with. We were quoted a wait time of 30 minutes. It was 45 before we got a table. No apology for the extended wait was offered. Probably not a problem for five or ten extra minutes of waiting. But for 50% longer than quoted? You probably want your system programmed to send out updates, and your host staff to be apologizing. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes for our server, Hannah, to show up. She took our drink orders, and returned with my soda, and the bartender followed with my wife's beer a few moments later. I liked the taste of her beer, so I ordered one. Our drinks were not refilled for the entire evening, nor was any offer was made to refill them. Additionally, the server rushed my wife to order dessert while I was still eating. She also "checked" twice with us during dessert to see if we were ready for the bill. We understand that The Old Fashioned is a busy place, especially on a Saturday night. When I'm dropping $70 on dinner for two, I expect better service, even if the food is superb.
