| - A cute cafe nestled in the heart of Bellevue.
The area is very old timey- police station, diner, curio shops, and churches. There are crosswalks and cars ACTUALLY stopped for pedestrians. I almost walked right past Cyclops, except a group of teens heading the opposite way said: "Coffee AND tattoos!?" So I looked too.
Not coffee AND tattoos, but a tattoo shop that rents a space behind a cafe... where you walk through the cafe to get in... and through the tattoo shop for restrooms. Weird layout, but I like to imagine that they have a symbiotic relationship with each other and share customers.
Anyway, the cafe has a ton of art, most of it is for sale. There were a lot of colorful paintings naked women on one wall, all for sale. There were some earrings and necklaces from another artist, hanging on a display.
There is counter seating if you like watching the barista, a nice long table with high chairs if you need to spread out your work or have a group project, and several low, comfy seats. I believe there are weekly groups for trivia and yarn crafts.
Finally, the coffee! Fresh and hot, with plenty of syrups to choose from if you like lattes. I had a caramel cheesecake latte and it was phenomenal. I got to speak with the co-owner (Jeremy? Glasses and red hair) for a bit and he was genuinely cool. He asked a few questions but wasn't overly chatty or quiet. He and his brother run the cafe. Jeremy also honored my coffee passport despite my forgetfulness.
If you're in Bellevue, you should stop by. I know I will.
