  • I was in looking for a new salon when I saw how highly Color Nation was rated on Yelp. I called and specifically asked for a stylist with curly hair or someone who specialized in curly hair. Upon arriving, I noticed my stylist did have curly hair! For those of you who do not have curly hair, you may not understand the importance of someone truly understanding the whimsical ways of curly hair! Kristy listened carefully as I told her exactly what I wanted. She then repeated to me my desires and asked a few more questions. She was very pleasant and explained what she was doing and what products she was using. The end result was exactly what I wanted. I was very happy with Kristy! I left off 2 stars for 2 reasons. 1. the decor is pretty outdated, it's every 90's "Friends/Monica's Apartment" style (but really, who cares). 2. What really got to me was a gentleman I saw who worked there...the whole time I was there, I saw him look disgusted behind the reception desk playing on his cell phone, move to the waiting area to plop down on a chair to gab with another employee, and all around look entirely bored. It by no means makes me comfortable to observe an obviously bored and/or disgruntled employee. At the end of the day, I was very satisfied with Kristy's haircut and style and will return!
