I have been here two times. The first time I went in to get my bangs trimmed and it turned out to be uneven on the two sides. One side was visibly shorter than the other and I didn't want to adjust it by cutting the other side because that was already too short.
The two stars are not for my first visit though. The bangs grew fast and the difference faded after a while.
My second visit was the actual disappointment, I went in to get a consultantation and a quote for doing highlights. I had mid-length brunette hair with settle highlights from last year and a bit of a burgundy tone from a previous color. Their first reaction to me asking about getting some caramel highlights was: "this would be a HUGE amount of work since you have that burgundy tone!"
I then explained how I would be OK with a bit of red tone if it's too hard to get it out without damaging my hair. They then introduced me to Robert who seemed to be more experienced with brunette hair. He seemed nice and explained the process and trade offs and made me a quote for 170$. I asked if he can show me a picture of what I should be expecting in terms of how full of a highlight he'll be doing, etc.
He showed me a picture and I liked it and asked if he could do it in the next couple of days; He said he can do it the same day since he was going to be there until late evening. And then somehow he bumped his quote up to over 200$ by the end of our discussion. I was under the impression that it's a HUGE amount of work so I was still cool with his higher quote. I asked if I could take a few minutes to think and come back in a half hour to get started - he said absolutely. After 10 minutes I went back very excited to get the highlights done for the weekend and he simply refused to take me in!!! I was very disappointed to get turned down after just ten minutes :(
However, I'm glad he didn't take me in because I ended up getting my highlights done elsewhere for much cheaper (130$) and it really wasn't as huge of a job as they described.
