| - Ill start this out by sounding terribly biased, and just get it out of the way. I am one of their original staff members, from years ago. And while I was only there a year (and have been gone several now) I still am a fan, and keep in touch with the guys. At one point in my life, I was a vegetarian (gasp). How I ended up working at a bbq joint, God only knows. But I did, and yes I ate the food ALL the time. I personally prefer to get the turkey, and the jalapeno sausage. I don't eat ribs, never tried them, so I cant comment on them. The cream corn was my favorite side, although the beans are suuuuuuper yummy as well. If you try a dessert, the banana pudding is the way to go. You'll want more than one cup of it! Dale and Mike have been there since day one, and I respect them as owners, and how they interact with their customers. One day many months ago I ended up out west, when the Rudys in Goodyear opened. Although I felt like I was cheating, I needed to compare. That being said, although Rudy's is a more known facility, and larger, it just wasn't the same. I still prefer Texas BBQ House. The hospitality and pricing are better, and they are smack in the middle of the valley. To the people complaining about them running out of items, these meats take hours and hours to prepare, I would suggest calling ahead if its that big of a deal. If you haven't been to this place, its well worth the visit. And yes, you'll be in Cowboys Country :)
