My friend called and wanted to meet for lunch. I was at Salon Embellish, getting a cut from the awesome Dionne. I was also on my bike, as per usual! I did a quick Yelp search to scope out prospects in the immediate area that would be bike-able. My friend agreed that we'd often talked about China Chili, so we agreed to meet there. It took me 5 minutes to bike there; I beat my friend by 15-20 minutes. There is a sad lack of bicycle parking; I ended up locking up to the fence in a designated fire lane. Businesses with a bike rack automatically earn an extra star from me!
The restaurant is old-school Chinese restaurant. It's very clean and comfortable. There are parking and entrances in the front and the back, which is a big plus for a central city business.
We ordered the crab puffs, sweet & sour prawns, and pork mu shu. We were satisfied with each of these items. The menu is large and varied; I will most likely return again to try other items. Located on 3rd St. in central Phoenix, this place is easy for me to access on my bicycle.
