| - I had a very frustrating experience at Southwest Eye Institute. After arriving on-time for my 2:30 scheduled appointment, I waited for 30 minutes before I was seen by the assistant. There was no apology for the wait time. She went through all of the initial tests, then dilated my eyes and said that it would be about 15-20 minutes before the doctor saw me. At this point, although the initial wait was a bit concerning, things seemed to be moving along just fine. Well... little did I know that I would sit in the waiting room, eyes dilated, vision blurry, for almost an HOUR longer!!
After I reached the point of frustration, I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be. She said that I was next, and escorted me into the doctor's office. I commented on how long the wait was, and rather than an apology, she merely commented, "you should have seen it this morning." What kind of customer service is that??? After being seated in the doctor's office, I waited for yet ANOTHER 20 minutes until he came in. The remainder of the visit was fine, so I have no complaints about the actual exam- except for the fact that I was there from 2:30pm until 5:15pm!!!!
I received my prescription for my eyeglasses, and when I looked at it the next day, I noticed that my name was spelled incorrectly. I called the office, and again- no apology. She just said that when I ordered my glasses, the vendor would call to verify the prescription, so it would be fine.
Customer service is obviously not their strong suit.
