  • Hubby and I have been curious to try Ethiopian food for a while, and decided to come to African Palace on a weeknight. Place is not fancy and service was a bit indifferent, but nothing that would prevent us from coming back. We ordered the vegetarian platter for one and the doro wat (boneless chicken stew with berbere spices). The curries on the platter were good and the injera was spongy and soft - perfect for scooping up the food! The chicken stew was VERY tasty, and was our favourite. I also tried the spicy tea, which was kinda of like a chai (without the milk) with black pepper. Not bad! All in all, we really liked the food and will try some more soon.
