| - Save yourself additional grief and don't go there! We called Legacy b/c the hospital gave us their info. Unfortunately, I confused it with another funeral home that is very good and offers excellent prices and services. It took 3 long weeks to process our fam. member's body! The facility where he had been didn't want to sign dead certificate b/c he died in the ER. Sissy said that if in three days they did not sign, she would call the Medical Examiner about it. A wk later, Sissy had not called the Examiner. 2 wks later and she still had not followed up. I called Sissy again a 3rd time 3 days later and she still had not called. She assured me this time she would call. I called the Examiner myself the next day. They told me Legacy never contacted them and he was very upset about it. He said, among other things, that we pay them to do this for us. He explained that by law, the facility has to sign, not ER. I called Sissy back with info and instead of following up complained that the Examiner did not do anything for them. Well, that's b/c she never called! She said she would call the facility. The following day I called the facility and they told me she never called them either. I told them what the examiner told me. They requested for the funeral home send them the appropriate paper work. When I spoke with Sissy again, she complained that that was not the way to do it and blah, blah, blah. I told her I did not care and just to get it done whatever it took. She also told us that they do not send for the death certificate. Yet, when I went to pick up the ashes from their crematorium, the lady there informed me that it was not true. That was part of the services offered! Horrible experience. Go to Able instead!
