| - Great service for peace of mind when you need to leave your pet behind. Cheaper than dog boarding, (plus no "extra fees to cuddle" ha ha which just kills me about boarding facilities.) So much better to have the dog in a home environment, normal schedule, normal people. Truly a genius idea. We have used two hosts in two different cities, and always a pleasure.
Our host Danielle lives very close by, is very accommodating with drop-off and pick-up schedules, nice big backyard with doggie door, quiet neighborhood, and a whole family for Charley to cuddle. This host family is very calm and confident with dogs, and they seem to truly enjoy our dog. They are nice to keep him on his normal walking schedule and feeding routine.
Charley now knows where he's going when we take him there, runs to their door. We ask him, "Do you want to go see your boy?" because Danielle's teenage son is the one Charley cuddles with the most! sweet kid.
Also, back in 2008 in another state, we had last-minute surprise need to find a dogsitter and Sleepover came through for us. The only problem at that time was the host was a smoker, but we were desparate and she was otherwise a great host who took in our dog over Christmas, so we were grateful.
