| - I've been going to this store for years. Smaller selection of items, but it covers a pretty good amount of species. The best thing about this store is their fish section, a beautiful set up of fish for sale.
However the last time I went into this store will be my final visit. I was in there with my boyfriend and best friend. We are all very respectful adults and was looking at the fish and small animals. My boyfriend and I were looking at toys for my lionhead rabbit, and we found a cute little tunnel that was the perfect size. One of the products was already unwrapped, and he stretched it out for me to look at the length of it.
This employee, possibly manager, turns the corner and just stops and stares at us. We made eye contact and she says "Really!? Did you unwrap that?" My boyfriend and I looked at each other in disbelief and I replied "No it was already like this." So this lady lunges toward us and snatches the tunnel out of his hands and with a sharp tone and says "You're going to break it! We pay for our merchandise not for you to play with it." She just takes the tunnel and storms away. All three of us just stared at each other, completely shocked.
She was absolutely unprofessional, rude, and just a downright bitch. We are paying customers browsing merchandise with the intent of buying a product. Absolutely ridiculous! I've never been treated like this before. Excuse me, but CHECK THE CAMERAS. Don't just jump to conclusions and treat customers like that. We found the tunnel unwrapped next to the rest of the wrapped tunnels I was looking at it to buy. We immediately left the store. I will not be returning. I work in customer service as well, and would never even consider treating someone like that.
Go across the street to Petsmart, less than a mile away. Friendly staff willing to help you, larger selection of products. Don't bother going to this store.
