| - I have two immediate feelings when I think of DasBrezelHaus: one, is that it's great to have such a unique business in downtown Brampton - especially since I love pretzels. Two: I worry for the business for the same reason since it's hard for many businesses in downtown Brampton, especially something as niche as this and literally invisible from traffic since it's located in a walking-only laneway.
But I'm very encouraged by the fact that both times I've been in here, other customers have been coming and going and the staff refer to items selling out.
As you can imagine, they sell standard soft pretzels. There's also a philly style, where it's almost a 3 in 1. There's all sorts of flavours. You'll see on the website that it speaks of: salted, cinnamon sugar (really good!), chocolate dipped, vanilla dipped, smores, and more. In my visits here I've seen other ones too, such as ghost pepper, which has pieces of ghost pepper on top of melted cheese. They also have a pretzel-wrapped sausage which was about as good as you'd imagine it to be. I've also seen on their IG account they they make pretzel buns, cinnabites (almost like timbits), prezel bites and even cinnamon buns. Some of these might just be daily specials, but one of the staff I spoke with said you can also call ahead and pre-order.
They also sell individual portions of various mustards too: dijon, one with an apple cider base and a couple others. About the only small complaint I have with the place is that they don't simply have a bottle of standard mustard out. I understand it's to direct people to purchase a side of mustard - which isn't for too much, but it's the only minor gripe I have.
Still, Das Brezel Haus is about as perfect as a Pretzel house can be and you should check it out if you're in the area or even make the trip if you're a Pretzel aficionado.
