| - Went here for dinner on a Saturday to catch up with a friend, and I had high hopes, but was overall unimpressed. We came in around 5:45 and were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise, but the first impression I got was that it was all very sanitized and cold (as in unfriendly). Like the sort of place old white people go when they want to say nice things to each other's faces, then be snide behind each other's backs. Not a great atmosphere.
The waitress made a few recommendations, but the menu was quite limited. I appreciate that they rotate the menu seasonally, but that's no excuse for 6 appetizers, 4 salads, 4 sandwiches, and 5 entrees. They need a few signature staples that they can run on the menu. I did the classic "scope out everyone else's order to see what I should get," but nothing really caught my eye. I decided that, being advertised as a Mediterranean restaurant, you can't go wrong with the lamb gyro. The lamb was very tender, but not very flavorful. Most of the flavor seemed to come from the oddly sour tzatziki it was drenched in. I was pleasantly surprised that it did come with a side of fingerling potatoes, which were seasoned to high heaven. It's like they couldn't decide what flavor they should be. My friend got the cilantro chicken salad, which was also drenched in dressing. Both plates were a normal human-sized serving (which is great for people who need help limiting portions on a diet), but at $10 for a chicken salad, I feel like there should be some leftovers to take home.
On the whole, it's a great concept behind their restaurant, but a rather cold atmosphere and meh food made it the sort of place we didn't want to stick around. Even though we were catching up on life, we stayed maybe an hour, tops. Ended up going somewhere else where we could enjoy dessert and each other's company. I'd say it's alright, but not worth your time.
