  • We just moved about a block away from here about a month ago and have been waiting to try their food. My wife and I finally went to The Fremont Minimart today and had an excellent experience. It was very clean, well kept and bigger than I had expected. What I really like is that they have such a wide variety of things to choose from and at reasonable prices. They have food, drinks, snacks, clothing, towels, sports teams winter caps and all kinds of things that you might need if you live nearby and don't want to go all the way to a major store to go shopping. But the best part is their kitchen! My wife and I are originally from Alabama and so we know our Southern food. I had the best fried chicken i think I have ever had and definitely the best deep fried okra ever! The chicken pieces were huge and everything was cooked fresh to order. My wife ordered the BBQ pork tips and she thought they were delicious as well. The cook was very nice and called us by name as soon as our order was ready. It was still piping hot when we got back to our apartment a few minutes later. We will go back again and again and again as long as we live in this part of town. I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
