| - CHECK IN: Booked months in advance with an arrival time of 10am. Arrived at 8am and was told no rooms were available yet and to check back at 3pm. Waited until 10am. Tried to use the self check in. It would not scan my ID properly so some bugs to work out here. Went to Diamond check-in as I am a platinum TR card holder. Checked in and got my room without issue. Was not charged for early check in either because I did not use the self check-in. IF you arrive at a peak time you will wait in a long line, just telling you that now.
ROOM: Deluxe King Room was small but the shower was absolutely huge with pleasant water pressure. The lighting in the room is very nice with a lot of options. My view was a parking garage so I kept the drapes closed for my stay since I wanted privacy. King size bed and pillows were comfy enough to sleep on, no stiff back or neck when I woke each morning. The safe is super easy to operate as well. I cant say enough about the bathroom though. It only has a sliding door but I was alone so thats not an issue however the mirror, sink, counter, toilet, and shower were all excellent by hotel standards. The flush is loud but only for about a second. The AC is the room worked well. It hums but personally it helped me sleep. You block it out basically instantly.
MAID SERVICE: These girls are awesome! They did such a tremendous job when cleaning my room. They even organized my toiletries on the counter for me. Always gave fresh towels and sheets when needed. Tipped $20 for a 4 night stay at the end.
POOL: Pool is 21 and older and is loud. The pool itself is small but there are two. I would recommend just walking over to the harrahs pool if you want to relax. Plenty of seating at harrahs, not so much at the linq. But if you purchase a day bed, its yours all day. Its Vegas, spend a little, its worth it. If you are going to scope out potential instagram models than the linq pool is for you. I skipped it this time but the action coming in and out would be right up your alley, but good luck finding a chair with a view. You are better off paying for a daybed.
ELEVATORS: The main elevators are slow during peak times. 11am and 5 to 7pm and again at 11pm. Other than that I did not have any issues. There are back elevators that will save you a ton of time. You take them down to the pool level and walk down one flight of stairs to the main floor. I did this a lot and beat people down every time. Dont complain the elevators are slow. Its not the elevators, its the amount of people using them during those times. The elevators are just fine.
CASINO: The casino is clean and has a variety of machines and table games. Nice contemporary look and feel and the dealers are pleasant. Wait staff was prompt but I also tip $1 every time in cash so they keep coming back. Even if I want just water or Pepsi, always tip.
LOCATION: This is the best location on the strip, period. In between Harrahs and Flamingo and wedged up against the linq promenade. Everything you need is in walking distance. Cesaers palace is a two minute walk across the street and the monorail to everywhere on the strip is attached to the linq. Use the monorail, dont uber. Cheaper and faster due to all the traffic.
PRICE: Cheapest of the Harrahs properties. Well worth it for its location, room, pool, and casino. Cant wait to go back!
Room Tip: The elevators are slow during peak times. Stay on a lower floor if possible.
