I recently went to one of the Garth Brooks' shows here and just a so-so experience. We got there a bit early and had to stand in the line for those that did electronic tickets. Once they opened the door, they checked credit cards and went through the metal detector. This entrance was actually at the floor level which was awesome since we had floor seats. So we find our seats and then go out and try to find food. On the floor level, all there is are drinks, no food. So we had to wander around and look for the elevator to go up to a higher level for food. We asked three different people where the elevator was and no one seemed to know. We did finally find it. Up on the mezzanine level where there was food, we had to wander for quite awhile to find anything. The food seems to be very far apart which will not work when the hockey team comes to the arena. They definitely need more food.
We ended up with food from Lucky Dog which you guessed it is hot dogs. We each had a regular hot dog with a side of fries. They did have a condiments table which had the usual ketchup, mustard and packets of relish, no onions. If you get a bottled drink, the have to take the cap which is just plain stupid. I was seeing other vendors undo the caps and then give them to the customers to put back on. Lame!
Because we knew parking would be a nightmare, we got a room at the Monte Carlo which is just across from the arena entrance. It was very easy that way.
So not sure I will do another concert here but maybe hockey once it comes, especially if they are playing my hometown team, the San Jose Sharks.
