ZERO STARS. A while back a friend and I attended a concert at the Sound Academy. We decided to duck out a bit early to try to grab a cab before the rush. As we were walking we had SIX Co-op cabs pull over and ask where we were heading. When we said East York, every single one of them said "sorry - I'm picking up a fare" and kept driving. For the record, the sound academy is pretty off-the-beaten-path and we were two females alone at 1am.
I called the customer service line TWICE and left messages to call me back and never had a return call. I'm under the impression that arbitrarily refusing fare is illegal. The fact that they couldn't be bothered to phone me back tells me that as a company, they are well aware of and condone this behavior from their drivers. I will never, ever, EVER take a Co-op cab again and I share this story frequently. From reading the other reviews it seems to be a common issue.
