Luckily we had one of the deals/coupons for Over Easy.
We ordered the Brioche French Toast & Chicken and Waffles. Both were good, but they could've been great. The french toast was soaked in a sweet carmelized syrup. Had I known it would make everything soggy, I would have asked for it on the side. Also, the bananas were sliced into thin (sorta sad) slivers. I feel like they could've garnished the thing with at least a whole banana - it would make the taste less one note. B-a-n-a-n-a-s are like 19 cents at Trader Joes, right?!
Chicken and waffles were good, but you need to eat them together in every bite. Otherwise, it's just an okay waffle and an okay piece of fried chicken. Orange juice seemed pretty fresh and tasty, but the iced coffee seemed a little weak. They also didn't fill the cup all the way so it looked stingy. Poached eggs had a slightly weird tangy taste (it might have been the poaching water they used). I would probably order fried eggs next time.
Overall, if they want repeat customers they should step up their game in plentiful garnishes and cooking technique. I thought it was a-ok, only because it was half price. Ouch.
