Ok not great as it should have been. The decor is interesting but not comfortable or very intimate. It wasn't very crowded yet it was surprisingly loud in the restaurant. The bench seats at the tables reminded me of dining at a run off the mill restaurant not to the level that Aureole was. Service was ok not great. The staff wasn't very attentive for an example it took over 15 minutes for the wine sommelier to return to my Table to place the wine order. The wine list was very extensive with a high mark up to match. I felt the "wine angel" gimmick was really lame. Basically when you ordered a bottle of wine a beautiful lady adorned in a silver jumpsuit goes into the multistory wine room and does a few flips on the guide wire and comes down with your bottle of wine. The food was mixed from outstanding to mediocre. I ordered the Cesar salad and it was not that great it was drowning in dressing that tasted it came from a bottle. The bread was served at room temperature and resembled sliced sandwich bread. My wife had the beet salad and she said it was excellent and was well prepared. For the main course I had the filet and it was very tender and cooked perfectly the minus on the filet is that it lacked the rich flavor that one gets when ordering that cut of meat but it was still enjoyable. The dessert was awesome a huge surprise. I had the cream brûlée with a brown sugar whisky like sauce with a cranberry sorbet and pomegranate on it. This sourness of the cranberry and pomegranate blended so perfectly with the super sweet cream brûlée. Would I come back again? Maybebecause at this price point I expect perfection from from the service to the entire meal and I feel there were too many misses in my experience.
