I have been dying to try out this unique place after all the amazing photos I have seen on Instagram.
First of all I love the hours, even through the mid week they are open late!
Driving through the downtown neighborhood to get here is kinda sketchy in the middle of not so decent area. So don't be scared your going the right way haha
Walking up to the Welcome diner it was so sweet how it's all set up! You can sit inside but only if there's room, it a bar top for 3 people. However, outside is where the fun is, the hanging lights, the awesome community tables are everywhere. The menu is short and to the point. I ordered the fried green tomato sandwich and the Sunrise. The fried green sandwich was a little hit to bite for the first few minutes but wow, how amazing it was! The sunrise was so delicious with the chorizo, I will have to try the other choices next time. To wash it down I got the house made ginger beer which was so refreshing I wanted more!
If you come here and don't mind waiting for a few extra long minutes for your food it won't disappoint!
