This was definitely an experience, I came to this museum after patiently waiting for it open and from hearing about it for a while. The exhibits were actually very cool and the whole museum gave a creepy vibe which is nothing short of what I was expecting from Zak Bagans. But I will have to say that there were a couple of things that fell flat for me when I was there.
#1: We called earlier that day and spoke with someone over the phone regarding pricing we asked how much it was and he quoted us $20. We asked him twice and got the same response since he said there was a local, military etc. discount. When we arrived the price was actually $28 ,but then there were a lot of fees so overall with the discount it came to $36. Even though we caught off guard we still let that slide because we wanted to go see the museum. (And I know to some $36 isn't pricey, but for a group of college kids paying tuition it would be nice to know what we were spending lol).
#2: We felt a little rushed, especially since there were so many different exhibits and facts (the place is 30 something rooms). I wish we had more time to actually read and look at all the pieces. The rooms are very small and the tour groups are quite big about 15-17 people per group ( this was purposely done by Zak to make people feel uncomfortable by tiny rooms and big groups which hey cool I get it) , but due to the size and how we had to maneuver through the rooms before I could look at everything we were being taken to another room. Also at one point another tour group actually caught up with our tour group so we really had to hurry and could not wait behind to try to sneak peeks because the rooms were flooded with a new group of people.
Overall, the museum was creepy and awesome, but again there were some things I wish they could have done differently. If I was to make a suggestion, I would one post discounted prices on the website with the fees. Also I would make time slots you can sign up for online or via phone so that way they could design a way to give people more time per exhibits.
On a cool note, when we were driving in we pulled into a parking lot and saw Zak standing outside so hey he may be there when you go visit the museum.
