| - The beautiful, spacious room, large bathroom and plush king sized bed all contributed to a wonderful 2-night stay at Loews this past weekend. Of course, this is to be expected of such a high-calibre spot.
What I was particularly impressed with was the lobby space (free wifi, great work space + desk, great espresso machine) and the impeccable customer service due to a few noisy neighbours.
After being kept up until 5 am from a party down the hallway, our travel companions (who stayed in the next room) complained to the front desk. The staff apologized sincerely, and promptly sent up a bottle of wine and handwritten note to their room, promising they'd monitor noise levels the next night to make sure we got a good rest.
Not all hotels hold up their end when it comes to customer service, but Loews really does. You'll be smart to make a reservation the next time your in Montreal!
A few small notes:
- Major construction across the road can be heard easily in the early morning- perhaps ask for a room on the opposite side of the hall (facing the back of the hotel).
- As per other Yelp reviews, we did notice that the walls did little to soundproof our space. We could hear our neighbours quite well (blow drying hair, talking, etc), but it wasn't so problematic that we needed to say anything.
