| - You can count on Plumbing Masters to do the job, stand behind their work and get you back up and running. This may be all you need to know but below is our experience with PM.
In April of 2013 our kitchen sink stopped draining in our 60 year old John F. Long house. It had previously stopped up before but I was always able to get it cleared but not this time.
After doing some searching on-line and checking BBB I called Plumbing Master and Johnny came out.

He spent several hours running a snake and high pressure through the drain but was not able to remove the blockage so it was determine that it was probably faking of the old pipe that had caused an impassable obstruction.
The obstruction was a ways away from the sink where the drain line tied into the main line in a bathroom just off the kitchen, which was approximately 20 feet away from the sink.
The solution was to replace the drain line, which meant cutting through the slab removing the old cast iron pipe and replace with new PVC.
This all went smoothly but certainly was a huge project, messy due to dust and a costly one at nearly $9,000.00 but once done we had a usable kitchen drain again.
All this worked ended up in a DYI kitchen remodel as the flooring had to be replaced and the kitchen sink cabinet had to be cut up (my decision) to make accessing the under the sink work easier.
On August 21st of 2014 my wife called me and said the kitchen sink was stopped up and she could not it cleared. When I got home I checked the trap and that was not where the blockage was so we called PM again.
Here is where you find out if a company you have dealt with before is a great company. Will they stand behind their work?
At approximate 5:30 PM sent two men out in 30 minutes and after using snakes and camera and locating where the camera stopped (it did not show a picture because it was under water) the locator showed the stoppage was right where they had made the connection for the initial repair.
Both my wife and I thought oh no the repair did not work or failed and they will have to tear into the slab again to fix it.
You know how DIY projects can drag on sometimes and I was just getting to the final stages of completion of a complete kitchen remodel. We were stressed out to say the least. Since it was 7:00 in the evening and they would not be doing any additional work that night the resolution to the problem would not come until the next day.
Johnny who had been involved with the initial project came back along with Matt together they worked on the blockage and got it cleared and ran a camera through to make sure the original fix was done properly and it was. Big relief there.
Many companies would have stopped here but not Johnny and Matt they wanted to find out what the blockage was so they moved to the bathroom, pulled the stool and began working there.
Unfortunately due to the way plumbing was done 60 years ago they were not able to get the camera down the drain due to the figure 5 piping to see what the cause was but they did get a snake run through 150 feet.
We have a working drain again and will have to consider some other work to be able to access the drain with a camera to see what the issue is, roots, flaking etc.
We were not charged for the work they did in the kitchen, this included the 2 men who came out on the first trip and several more hours by Johnny and Matt.
We did pay for the extra work done in the bathroom, which would be expected, as it was work done past the initial repair.
Although we will have some additional expenses in the near future so we can get to the bottom of the cause of our stoppage it was great to know that our original assumption that the initial work was done incorrectly was FALSE.
Johnny, Matt and the other two men for this trip and all those involved with the original repair are very professional plumbers. They are all concerned with doing quality work and doing it right. Matt is a supervisor and he got lots of calls and you could tell by his responses to his crew this attitude was company wide, make the customer happy he said on one call.
You can count on Plumbing Masters and their crew to handle your plumbing problems.
We would recommend Plumbing Masters to anyone who needs help.
