| - Yeah, I definitely recommend this place to all my friends.
The low-down is that you need to give yourself 2 hours if you are with the 2nd floor students.
The 1st floor students have already graduated from the 2nd floor and so, work like your typical stylist.
I recommend going to the 2nd floor if you have the time. The students there are super eager to get the cut you want. They listen, they take their time and they are guided every step of the way.
I have very thick, curly hair which most stylist don't know what to do with. (Including a student from the 1st floor, hence why 2nd floor is better) Every time I have gone to Aveda Institute, I have gone in with a clear idea of which style I want and the student, with the advice of the supervising instructor, has crafted a new style to suite me. Some of the best cuts I've ever had were here.
Also, those who don't know Aveda, it's a studio that uses a line of their own all natural products. They leave your hair smelling, feeling and looking great but at salon prices! Beware.
When booking, remember to specify which floor of students you want and be sure to leave an extra big tip since the cut is so cheap!!
-and yes, the reception does tend to make many mistakes.
