| - This was my first time to the Bull. A friend and I went here for my birthday last night. Some plus and minuses, though for the most part, this is a decent bar. First, $10 cover is kinda steep I think. I'm actually from hendertucky...Ive lived here for nearly a decade, but i still have my florida license...that's my bad i guess but still...I could see 5 bucks...or maybe free on your birthday ;) but whatevs.
The line dancing is super fun and you can come in early (7pm on Saturday...not sure about other days) for dance lessons, which I love. Not that I care if I look like a fool out there. Lol. Ill just make it up as I go if I'm super lost haha! The teacher was fantastic. She even noticed my friend and I coming in to the lesson a little lost and came over near us so we could watch her steps better.
Music was great. Unlike what another said, this particular night was mainly country with a few of the standard poppy songs. ..still people line danced. There were a couple of free dancing songs.
There is a bull there to ride, which I am now disappointed that I did not get to try...maybe next time! ;)
As for the minus points, I'm confused about the drink prices because I paid $30 for all night well drinks and I tipped the bartender 30 bucks. My friend also paid 30 for her wrist band... so i didn't think anything of it. I read this morning on yelp; however, that Saturday night is $2 for ladies drinks from 11pm to 2. Also another yelper said it was 20 for the wrist band, so I'm a little perturbed about that bc it seems shady. (-_-)
The only other thing that would be nice is if they offered bar food because damn...people can work up an appetite with all them drinks and all that booty shakin...lol...just sayin. :)
Overall, I had a great time...I'm just not too sure about their drink pricing. Takes the experience down a notch.
